At the March PA/USATF board of Athletics meeting, PA/USATF Race Walk Chair Ron Daniel presented Robyn Stevens with her national USATF award, the Henry Laskau Junior Elite Race Walker of the year 2000. It was awarded to her in recognition of:
* Her dedication to the rigorous and intense training required to become and to remain an Elite Junior National Race Walk Champion.
* Her 1999 and 2000 Junior National Championship wins at the 5K and 10K respectively.
* Her 1999 Pan American Junior Games Championship win and her achievement of a personal record at the 2000 World Junior Championships in Santiago, Chile.
