Shadow Cliffs Regional Park will also be the location for the Region 14/Junior Olympics Championships – final qualifying meet for the National Cross Country Junior Olympics 2002!!!

Race Entry Fee:  $5.00/athlete. A copy of athlete’s Birth Certificate is required.  Make checks payable to Pleasanton Heat.  Please be prepared to pay a $5 parking fee to Shadow Cliffs Regional Park.

Instructions:  Please have all athletes complete the ATHLETE’S RELEASE and have the releases available at the meet.  Teams must wear matching tops. The meet is to be governed by USATF Rule 240.  Sub-Bantams may run in the Bantam races.  Other competitors may only compete in their sex/age group.  An athlete’s year of birth shall determine the division in which they compete.  Submission of falsified or altered documents will result in disqualification of the athlete, and if it involves two or more athletes from a club, the entire team will be disqualified.  Protests concerning the status or eligibility of an entrant must be made to the meet coordinator and director.

From the SOUTH (San Jose) Take I-680 NORTH toward Walnut Creek; take the Sunol Road EXIT at Pleasanton; RIGHT at the stop sign onto Sunol Road (NE); GO 3.55 miles on Sunol Road (becomes First Street, then Stanley Blvd.), RIGHT into Shadow Cliffs Regional Park. GO 500 feet past the Entrance Station. Follow signs and people. From the NORTH (Walnut Creek) Take I-680 SOUTH toward San Jose; take the Bernal Road EXIT at Pleasanton; RIGHT at the stop sign onto Bernal Avenue (E); GO 1.45 miles on Bernal Avenue to the 3rd stoplight; make LEFT onto First Street. GO 2.25 miles on First Street (becomes Stanley Blvd.). At the 6th stoplight, make a RIGHT into Shadow Cliffs Regional Park. GO 500 feet past the Entrance Station. Follow signs and people. From the WEST (Oakland) Take I-580 EAST to I-680. Take I-680 SOUTH toward San Jose; take the Bernal Road EXIT at Pleasanton; RIGHT at the stop sign onto Bernal Avenue (E); GO 1.45 miles on Bernal Avenue to the 3rd stop light; make LEFT onto First Street. GO 2.25 miles on First Street (becomes Stanley Blvd.). At the 6th stoplight, make a RIGHT into Shadow Cliffs Regional Park. GO 500 feet past the Entrance Station. Follow signs and people. From the EAST (Stockton) TAKE I-5 SOUTH to I-205 (toward Tracy)(merges with I-580); continue WEST on I-580 toward Oakland; take the Santa Rita Road EXIT at Pleasanton; make LEFT at the stop light onto Santa Rita Road (S); GO 2.0 miles to the 7th stop light, make LEFT onto Valley Avenue (curves to the right). At the 4th stop light on Valley Avenue, make a LEFT onto Stanley Blvd. and GO to the 1st stop light, make a RIGHT into Shadow Cliffs Regional Park. GO 500 feet past the Entrance Station.
