Facilities:                    Hornet Stadium is on the campus of Sacramento State University.

(8) eight lanes, Mondo surface throughout, including steeplechase, javelin approaches and all runways.  The throwing rings are brushed concrete.  On all Mondo surfaces, the required spike length and type is ¼ inch pyramid or xmas tree spikes.  NO NEEDLE SPIKES are permitted.  The horizontal and vertical jumps, and javelin runway will be on the actual surface of competition for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.  Hammer, Discus, Shot however will be in alternate rings. 

 

Eligibility:                   All competitors must be a registered USATF Athlete. Only four year university athletes who compete for their institutions and are registered by their coaches are not required to be USATF member. USATF membership cards are available for $20.00 by contacting the Pacific Association Office at (916) 983-4715, or you may register on-line at www.pausatf.org.  Memberships will also be on sale the day of the meet.

The entry process utilizes Hy-tek team manager or Team Manager Lite.  Individuals or clubs without Hy-tek Team Manager can access and install Team manager Lite at www.hy-tekltd.com free of charge.  Installation procedures are attached.    

 

Declarations:              Please declare all entries via email by 5:00pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2004 by Hy-tek Team Manager or Team manager Lite to [email protected].

 

Entry Fees:                 The fee is $15.00 per event if entry is submitted by deadline.  Entries will be taken on meet day ONLY if space is available.  MEET DAY REGISTRATION is $30.00 per event.  The late entry deadline is 2 hours prior to the scheduled event time.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  All athletes will pay their fees on site at entrance of facility on day of competition.  Checks must be made payable to PAUSATF.    

 

Event                          Registered track contestants check-in with the running clerk at least 30 minutes prior

Check-In:                   to the event start time.  All athletes must check in at registration table before competition.  Field events should check in 45 minutes prior to event at site.

Weights &

Measures:                  Weights and measures will be from 8:00am – 11:00am in the Hornet Stadium fieldhouse conference room adjacent to the track.

 

Warm Ups:                  All warm ups must be conducted on the warm up track located just north of the track facility.  The Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex has a 400m mondo warm up track.        

 

 

Timing:                       Fully automatic timing with Finish Lynx.

Heats/Flights              All running events will be run as finals only with seeding based

Organization:              on submitted marks.  Field event competitors will have three initial attempts 

With the top (8) eight competitors qualifying for the finals.

PAUSATF                   Earn double points towards prize monies being awarded by the Pacific

Grand Prix:                 Association Open T & F Committee.  To register, you must be a current PA-USATF member. The Pacific Association Grand Prix is a series, culminating with these Association Championships.  $15,000.00 will be awarded to the association’s top ten men and top ten women utilizing the 2001 IAAF Scoring Table.  Contact Open T & F Chair Jerry Colman at e-mail: [email protected] for further information and to register.
