From Hollis Lenderking
PA/USATF Ultrarunning Chair

Devon Crosby-Helms, 25, of San Francisco, finished as second (scoring) American woman at the 2007 International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) World Cup 100K race in Winschoten, The Netherlands, on September 8, 2007. Her time of 8 hours, 6 minutes, and 20 seconds was a ten-minute improvement over her debut at the USATF 100K championship in Wisconsin last April, and placed her 15th in the overall women's field. First American was Kami Semick, 40, formerly of Berkeley, Calif. but now of Bend, Ore., in 7:51.55.

Semick's and Crosby-Helms' times led the Team USA women's team to a fourth-place finish behind Japan, France, and Germany, in a collective time of 24:12:18. Team USA men's team finished third, behind Japan and Russia, in 20:43:33.
