Michelsohn WR at Pride Meet

At the Pride Track & Field meet on July 7 at San Francisco State University, Marie-Louise Michelsohn (New York), age 65, ran 20:27.08 for 5,000 meters. Her mark bettered the existing W65-69 age group World Record listed by the WMA (Theresia Baird, AUS, 20:42.4) and bettered the existing U.S. record (Jaclyn Caselli, 22:41.8, 1986). Earlier this year, Michelsohn also set new U.S. W65-69 standards for 1 mile and 3,000 meters.
