Register Today for Clarksburg, the 30 km PAUSATF Championship
Cool mornings and shorter days means it's Clarksburg time again! The 43rd annual Paul Reese Clarksburg Country Run is Sunday, November 9th. Once again, the 30 km (18.6-mile) is the PAUSATF championship and is the final event to offer prize money and points in all individual and team age divisions. The race is worth double points on the Grand Prix circuit and features $2,550 in PA prize money with bonus money available for breaking open or masters course records.
Register before October 25th for the lowest race entry fees. In addition, October 25th is the deadline for all PA comp entries. Comp’ed athletes can download a paper entry form from the race web site or cut and mail the entry form on page 13 of the Sept/Oct issue of California Track and Running News.
The 30 km starts at 9:15 a.m. at Delta High School in Clarksburg, a small town 12 miles south of Sacramento. The flat, fast and certified course is home to dozens of national records.
The event also features a 20-mile, a half-marathon, a three-person 30 km relay, a 5 km, and kids fun runs. Just announced: the first 1,200 entrants in the long distance races receive a Nike Pro long sleeve tech shirt. The first 300 in the 5 km receive a short sleeve Nike Dri-fit tech shirt.
Online registration, a downloadable paper entry form, and all race details are available at http://www.clarksburgcountryrun.com.
Good luck with your training and I look forward to seeing you next month,
Doug Thurston, Race Director
