PA Member Steve Stowers of Berkeley (Pacific Striders) was selected for the 2008 IAU100K World Cup team which competes in Tuscania Italy on November 8.
Steve works out with the Pacific Striders at the Cal track each Thursday and qualified for the team by winning the Jed Smith 50mile in 5:39:46 (in a mud bath!) and placing 2nd in the 100k Nationals in 7:14:34.
Devon Crosby-Helms was also selected. She now resides in the Seattle area but previously lived in San Francisco (unattached). She continues to be a top Pacific Association ultra event competitor.
