To all clubs, coaches, parents and participants of the Nevada TrackFest 2008 Youth Invitational track meet.

I want to personally thank all of you for your patience and your willingness to step up and help out at the TrackFest meet this last weekend. All of the adults were just fantastic. As most of you know last March 17th our friend and meet director, Jim Vanden Heuvel passed away and our meet was in question. I talked to many of the club coaches and all encouraged me to have the meet. I would like to apologize for my lack of experience and organization. I�ve learned a lot from this experience: 1st is that I never want to do a meet like this again and 2nd is that I've got a year to organize and learn how to do it right next year. I would like to encourage any and all club coaches to email suggestions for next year.

What I experienced from this meet was that most everybody involved with youth track and field in the Pacific Association always remember what it's all about – IT'S THE KIDS. Because of the weather I was surprised that EVERY ONE who registered made it to the meet. You are a very dedicated group of clubs and should be applauded. We all know these are the reasons that the Pacific Association is the best and fastest growing association in the nation.
