For PA/USATF coaches, officials, volunteers who are required to have background checks:

YOU MUST RENEW YOUR PA/USATF MEMBERSHIP by APRIL 1, 2008

California State Law states that those required to have background checks must be current members of the organization to which they belong.

Due to this law, if you received your clearance in 2007 you must renew your USATF membership by April 1st of this year in order to remain cleared. If you do this by April 1st, you are not required to do another background check.

If you fail to renew your USATF membership by April 1st, you will not be cleared for 2008 until you (1) renew your USATF membership and (2) get another background check at your own expense.
