A UNIQUE & SPECIAL EVENT!! THIS SUNDAY MAY 4th!!! The 2008 Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational will be one of the premier track and field meets of the outdoor season. Hundreds of elite college, professional, and international athletes will compete as they prepare for the NCAA Championships, the U.S. Olympic Trials, and the 2008 Olympic Games in  Beijing , China . The Invitational Distance Carnival consistently produces collegiate records, American records, and Olympic "A" qualifying standards. There is a Youth Track & Field Clinic! (For Grades K-8)   Noon -1:30pm Introducing the clinic will be Head Coach and Director of Stanford Track & Field, Olympian, Edrick Floreal. Leading the clinic will be Joy Upshaw-Margerum,  founder & director of Jackrabbits Track Club. Clinic Instructors include Olympians & Stanford Staff: Kevin McMahon, Grace Upshaw, Peter Tegan, David  Vidal, Kris Mack, Jakki Bailey, Kurt Goeing & Mary Jo Alexander. Clinic will cover introduction to the Long Jump, Hurdles, Hammer Throw, Turbo Javelin, Sprint Form, Distance Running & Strategy. We will divide the groups and rotate through each event.
