RRCA CONVENTION OFFERS AFFORDABLE ONE-DAY REGISTRATION

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 2, 2009

Want to attend the RRCA Convention, but don’t have the full weekend to spare? Now, as a special offer for the Bay Area running community, the Road Runners Club of America will offer single-day tickets to the 2009 RRCA Convention, held March 26 to March 28, 2009 at the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. The single-day passes are available for either Friday, March 27 or Saturday, March 28 for $65 by mail-in registration or on site for $75. Club discounts do not apply. Note: single-day tickets are NOT available through Active. com & can NOT be combined. There is a limit of 60 tickets for each day.

Single-day registration includes access to the Expo and all workshops and seminars, as well as a goodie bag and opportunities to take part in “funs runs” around the neighborhood. Both Friday and Saturday will feature all-start casts of panelists presenting workshops on sports nutrition; half marathon, marathon and ultrarunning training; and trail running, as well as race management-related workshops on “Greening Your Race,” “How to Best Utilize Active.com,” “Course Measurement,” and  “Race Marketing and Communications Strategies.”

Participants can also register for meals with speakers such as Dean Karnazes, Marshall Ulrich, and Frank Shorter.
