Jordan Hasay Winner Junior Women’s 1500M
On her race:
“It was really windy on the backstretch, so I was a little worried about that. The plan was to lay low on the first two hundred and then I decided to take the lead and go for it. My coach told me once I got the lead to run 68s or 69s, and that’s what I tried to do.”
On her plans after this:“I’m not really sure yet. I might run at the Pan Am’s and I might not. Originally I was just going to run the senior race, so the Pan Ams aren’t really in my schedule. I might just lay low.”
Alitta Boyd - Winner Junior Women’s Triple Jump
“This was my best jump since last year. This whole entire year has been going kind of slow, so I’m very happy. That’s what I was planning to do.”
On winning the long jump and triple:
“It feels great. I was not expecting the long jump, but I was just feeling good and I jumped good. I’m pleased. They were both PR’s, so it was just a great weekend.”
Alitta Boyd Winner Junior Women’s Long Jump
On her winning jump:
“I did what I had to do out there. I just made sure to get my foot on the board. When I landed it didn’t feel like a good jump, it felt very average but I won and I’m very happy to make the team.”
