Pacific Association Youth Cross Country Chair Position is Open

Hello Cross Country team coaches,
 
This is to officially inform you of the vacant board position of Youth Cross Country Chair for the Pacific Association.  Yes, Bob Shor has resigned from his post.  He will however, continue his involvement with our youth program as our premier starter extraordinaire.   
 
We are going to announce his replacement next weekend Saturday, February 27th, at the scheduled club meeting being held 10 am at James Logan High School.  If you are interested in filling that position until the elections take place officially next year, please let us know as soon as possible (within next 2-3 days). 
 
Write a short 1 to 2 paragraph statement why you feel you are qualified for the position.  My email address is [email protected].  Vice Chair Maria Castillo and I, will get back to you prior to the meeting to let you know what our decision is regarding the appointment to this position. 
 
The position requirements included are: 

* attend our youth board meetings throughout the year (approx. 4-5 meetings)
* set up cross country schedule for upcoming season and present that schedule at annual bid meeting in February
* contact Region 14 Coordinator to confirm date and location of Region 14 JO Cross Country Championship meet, when applicable alternating years
* make sure that all meets on the cross country schedule are sanctioned at least 60 days prior to the scheduled meet
* assure that USATF rules are followed at all cross country meets 
* be available to all cross country teams for support
