Per conversations with Mark Winitz, George Kleeman & CIM Race Director:
- The CIM is using net times for the CIM age division awards this year.
- The CIM Race Director, Eli Asch, said that the PA may score their PA/USATF Marathon Championship age division winners in whichever way is correct for the USATF rules. Both net and gun times will be published in the race results.
- Mark Winitz reported that there was a rule change approved at the Anaheim convention this week that will allow masters runners at USATF Championship events to be scored by net time. George Kleeman said the rule change can be implemented immediately.
PA/USATF Open Division runners will be scored by gun times per USATF rules.
- Gun times will be used for all runners younger than 40 years of age for Pacific Association age division awards and standings.
- CIM money winners will be awarded their prize money using gun times (both masters 3 deep and open 5 deep).
