Stephanie Brown Trafton, PA Athlete's Chair


• Qualified for the 2004 Olympic Team by finishing 2nd at the Olympic Trials discus competition
• A six-time All-American in indoor and outdoor track and field at Cal Poly
• Holds school records at Cal Poly in the discus at 189-6 and shot put at 56-0.
Did You Know?
• Her throw of 61.9 meters (a little more than 203 feet) on her first attempt at the Olympic Trials exceeded her previous personal best by about 9 feet
• She did a cartwheel on the infield after qualifying for the Olympic Team at the Trials
• Attended Arroyo Grande High School in California
• She was the No. 2 discus thrower nationally during her senior year of high school with the sixth-best national record of 181 feet
• Her father, Steve Brown, is a bus driver and dispatcher for a local bus company in Oceano, Calif.
