Rule Books

Let us talk about Rule Books:

  • In 2009 the NCAA published a two year rule book. The next book comes out in 2011. However, there is a connection, to rule interpretations which the NCAA has published…rather than printing a new book:
    • NCAA RULES INTERPRETATIONS (control + click to follow link) (if you get a window which offers you a chance to Refresh the Page…do so)
  • If you don’t have a book, you can buy one. If you bought a book last year, look at these interpretations.
  • The high school rule book is new, but not everyone needs the high school’s officials manual or case book. Referees, you probably need these books.
  • The USATF rule book won’t be available until about the first of March. Until then use the 2009 version. Since we have so many big USATF meets this year, the 2010 USATF Rule Book should be a hot item.
  • You may order these books online through the link below. You will pay by credit card (and you do NOT have to have a VISA card to pay) .
  • Dick Connors has agreed to handle the ordering and distribution of rule books this year. Dick will hand deliver your books if you are at the same meet or will mail them to you. At the moment he has in his possession some 2009/2010 NCAA Rule Books and 2010 High School Rule Books. By ordering rule books through the Training Committee, you save $$ for shipping is almost as much as most books.
  • The drop dead deadline for ordering books through the PAUSATF Official’s committee is 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 27th, 2010. At the stroke of midnight the computer clicks off and you are on your own.

While we are discussing deadlines, the deadline for signing up online through Active.com for a clinic is 11:59 p.m. on the Tuesday before the clinic. We need the time to organize the paperwork. At the stroke of midnight the computer clicks off and you are late. Late entries will be charged a late fee of $5.00.

Now to get to the sign-up through Active.com, you can hold down the control key, your pointer turns into a hand, and when you click on the button, you open the web site.
