Jordan Hasay, USATF Youth Runner of the Year, will speak
at the Awards Banquet (March 28) at the Annual Road Runners
Clubs of America Convention in San Francisco, March 26-29.
Jordan is a member of the Pacific Association and RRCA
affiliated San Luis Distance Club (affiliated with the RRCA since 1976).
Her youth coach prior to her entering high school, Jim Barodte,
was the RRCA's Kurt Steiner Award Winner last year.

She joined SLDC at age 12 as a 7th grade student and has
represented SLDC in Junior Olympic and National Championship
competition since that time. Although she has not run any road races
since starting high school and concentrating on cross country and
track, she ran a dozen 5K's while in 7th & 8th grade, winning the
women's division in all of them and setting national 5K road racing
records for ages 12 (17:05) & 13 (16:49).
The RRCA Convention brings together road runners of all ages
and from all over the country together for networking, clinics, & running.
