China Camp course, a 4.25 mile eyeloop course, rolling with lots of single track. About 1/4 mile of road. Make sure car is parked off the roadway. This race is a memorial to John Lawson, a Tamalpa Runner who, at 44, died suddenly of a heart attack in 2000. |
The 2024 Course will return to the course used in 2022 and before. A slight difference is made on the west end of the course due to erosion on the trail on the water. Course has been shortened from 4.2 miles to 4.1 miles. Start will take place on large grass field. An updated course map can be found here. | Loop course, rolling hills. $75 bonus for breaking any age group course record. |
1) There will be a new cash award for master women. This is called the
The Nancy Thomas Women’s Masters Performance Award. This $100 cash award
will be given each year to the masters woman runner with the highest
age-graded performance. The award is funded from a bequest from Nancy
Thomas, a long-time member of the Impala Racing Team who loved to train
hard and race even harder, especially in cross country events. ALL
masters women competitors are eligible for the award, regardless of team
affiliation. 2) This championship welcomes collegiate runners. Coaches or captains email Irene Herman, with a list of runners, date of birth so that she will register & accomodate them in the results. Individual collegiate runners can do the same. Please follow the deadline dates of November 14, by 5:00pm. 3) We are using the original renovated west end course. 2x2 mile loop for women and 3x2 mile loop for open men (see map); 5 mile course for Masters Men (see map). 4) Volunteers needed for course setup and assistance during the event.. 4) Comp athletes: email Irene Herman, for the code or send her your manual comp entry forms. |
