Saturday, Feb 2, 2025 – 1,500 Meter Indoor Race Walk Championship, Reno, NV
The USA Track and Field Pacific Association 1,500-meter Race Walk Championship will be conducted on Saturday, February 2, with the USATF-Pacific Association Indoor Track Championship Meet, which will be held over two days, Saturday, February 1, and Sunday, February 2, Reno-Sparks Convention Center, 4065 South Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada. This will also be a Youth, Open & Masters meet. The track events will be on a rolling schedule, with the race walk early Sunday morning. Saturday, Feb 17, 2025 (Presidents Day) – 1,500 Meter Indoor Race Walk, Reno, NV
A 1,500-meter Indoor Race Walk will be part of the USATF-Pacific Association – hosted “Presidents Invitational” indoor track meet, which will be held over three days, Saturday, February 15, through Monday, February 17, Reno-Sparks Convention Center, 4065 South Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada. Saturday, Feb 22, 2025 – One Mile Race Walk Championship, Berkeley, CA
The USA Track and Field Pacific Association One Mile Race Walk Championship will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, (time tbd), on the track at Edwards Stadium at the University of California in Berkeley, CA, before the California Golden Bears All-Comers Track & Field Meet. Women’s and Men’s races will be separate, one immediately following the other. Registration is in TWO Parts (with different deadlines and processes). 1) Complete RW Entry Form (not yet available) and mail with fee before Feb 15 or bring to track on race day, and 2) MANDATORY! BEFORE the meet, register at DirectAthletics.com for the “Cal All Comers #1” meet to sign the meet waiver and pay the fee. All MEET registrations must be through DirectAthletics.com – NO meet registrations will be accepted on race day. Registrations Open Jan 1. Racewalk entries can only be accepted from athletes who have met the deadline to pre-register for the meet. Note that spectators and coaches will be charged an entrance fee at the stadium entrance, and there is no free parking.

Saturday, May 10, 2025 – 5,000-meters Race Walk, Sacramento, CA
A 5000-meter Race Walk will be conducted outdoors on a paved trail on the levee at Garcia Bend Park in (South) Sacramento, CA. This event will be part of the Not Just 4 Runners event, to be held 1-2 weeks after a HOW to RACE WALK CLINIC with Susan Armenta. In 2025, the course won’t be certified, so records are not possible.

Saturday OR Sunday, June 7 OR 8, 2025 – 5,000 Meter Race Walk Championship
The USA Track and Field Pacific Association 5,000-meter Race Walk Championship will be held on June 1 or 2, as part of the Golden West Invitational Track & Field Meet at Rancho Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, CA (Sacramento area). Women and Men race together in one combined event. Register for the Golden West Invitational Track & Field Meet for the 5,000 Meter Walk. Sorry, no same-day registrations.

Saturday, Feb 3, 2024 – 1,500 Meter Race Walk Championship
The USA Track and Field Pacific Association 1,500-meter Race Walk Championship was the first race of the 2024 season. The event was conducted on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in two separate races – 9:30am Women, followed by 9:50am Men – before the Cal All-Comers #1 Track Meet, in Berkeley, CA. There was no Penalty Zone. The weather was in the low-50’s with overcast skies.

Saturday, Feb 17, 2024 – One Mile Race Walk Championship
The USA Track and Field Pacific Association One Mile Race Walk Championship was to have been conducted on Saturday, February 17, at 9:30am, on the track at Edwards Stadium at the University of California in Berkeley, CA, before the California Golden Bears All-Comers #2 Track & Field Meet.
Unfortunately, the organizers cancelled all events due to extreme weather conditions.
Saturday, Mar 2, 2024 – 3,000 Meter Race Walk Championship
The USA Track and Field Pacific Association 3,000-meter Race Walk Championship was conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2024, in one combined race for Men and Women, starting at 10 a.m. before the Cal Season Opener Track Meet in Berkeley, CA. There was no Penalty Zone. The weather was in the mid-40’s with light rain showers.

Saturday, Oct 5, 10K Race Walk Championship (with 1K Power Walk & 1K Run)
On Saturday, October 5, the Pacific Association conducted the 10-kilometer Race Walk Championship. After the race walk, there was a 1-km Power Walk, followed by a 1-km (1,000 Meters) Run. All races were on a newly-certified 1-km out-and-back road course (see map link below) in front of Robla Community Park at 625 Bell Road, Sacramento, CA.

Sunday, Oct 29, 2023 –10K and 20K RW Championship Grand Prix (plus 3K Power Walk)
Combined women’s and men’s 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 20-kilometer race walks were held on Sunday, October 29 on a certified one-kilometer loop course at William B. Pond Park in Carmichael, California (Sacramento area). The 10K and 20K Racewalks are Grand Prix Championships and count for Grand Prix scoring. There were no registrations for the 5k and 20k distances. A combined women’s and men’s 3-kilometer Power Walk followed the completion of the race walks. Awards and picnic followed, with everyone invited to attend the Annual PA RW Committee meeting. These races were hosted by Sierra Race Walkers on behalf of the Pacific Association.

The 2022 Grand Prix Championship season consisted of the following races: 1,500 Meter, One Mile, 5,000 Meter, 10 Kilometer, and 20 Kilometer. Despite the dynamic situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, all races were in-person physically-present races.

The USA Track and Field Pacific Association 5,000-meter Race Walk Grand Prix Championship was held on Saturday, June 4. The combined Men’s and Women’s races were conducted as part of the Pacific Association Open Track & Field Championship, in combination with the Golden West Track & Field meet at Rancho High School in Rancho Cordova, CA (near Sacramento, CA).

Sunday, Sep 11, 2022 – 10 Kilometer AND 20 Kilometer RW Championship Grand Prix
A combined women’s and men’s 10-kilometer race walk was held on a certified one-kilometer loop course at William B. Pond Park in Carmichael, California (Sacramento area). There were no finishers in the combined women’s and men’s 20-kilometer race walk. A combined women’s and men’s 3-kilometer Power Walk followed the completion of the race walks. An Awards Ceremony was held after the post-race picnic to distribute race medals and Grand Prix medals. The Annual Meeting of the Race Walk Committee followed.

The USA Track and Field Pacific Association COVID-19 #AloneTogether Virtual 1,500-meter Race Walk was the first race of the 2021 Grand Prix. It was conducted from February 6 to 28, 2021.
The event was conducted on city streets and sidewalks, school tracks, parking lots, paved pathways, park trails, and treadmills across the USA.
