► RR Important info for PA runners regarding the SACTOWN Run
The Credit Union SATOWN Run will also be the USATF Masters 10 Mile Championship. PA Masters runners need to read this document which contains all the information they need to know about the national championship aspect of the race.
► XC Sergio Reyes Dominates Masters field at USATF XC Champs
The HOKA Aggies’s Sergio Reyes won the Masters Men’s heat of the USATF Cross Country Championships Saturday at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. Reyes won the 8K event in a terrific time of 26:37 almost a full minute ahead of 2nd placer Roosevelt Cook (26:31) and the bronze winner, Jacques Sallberg (27:37), both from the Cal Coast TC. Also finishing in the top 10 were Mark Yuen (4th place) of West Valley TC, and Ivan Lieben (10th place) also of WVTC.

In addition to Sergio Reyes winning the individual master’s national championship in San Diego on January 8th and Jacob Nur having the highest age-graded score, PA teams also won several age-division team championships: WVTC’s 50+ men’s team, Impala’s 60+ women’s team, Tamalpa’s 70+ men’s team, and Tamalpa’s 80+ men’s team.

► LDR Open Position: LDR Secretary
The LDR Committee is seeking an individual to fill the open position of Secretary. Duties included: taking minutes/notes at meetings, posting minutes to the website, helping chairs to organize documents for the LDR Grand Prix (Road, XC, MUT), etc.

► XC PA Highlights: 2021 USATF XC Club National Championships
Congratulations to the WVTC 50+ Men’s Team which won the national club XC championship in Tallahassee, Florida. Scoring for WVTC were Mark Yuen, Ivan Lieben, David White, Charles Mulane, and Mark Callon.
Congratulations to the WVTC 40+ Men’s Team which placed second. Scoring for WVTC were Peter Gilmore, Todd Rose, Benjamin Koss, Konrad Knutson, and Julian Marsh.

Top PA finisher in the Women’s Open Division was Maya Weigel of the Peninsula Distance Club, finishing 5th in a time of 20:00 on the 6K course.
Top PA finishers in the Men’s 10K Open Division were HOKA Aggies runners Mark Huizar, finishing 7th in a time of 30:53, and Phillip Reid, finishing 9th in a time of 30:54. The HOKA Aggies open team finished 5th in the team competition.
