► PA Important Update for Coaches & Parents of Unattached Athletes
ATTENTION: ALL TEAM COACHES & PARENTS OF UNATTACHED ATHLETES
IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING THE MEMBERSHIP & AGE VERIFICATION PROCESS
The USATF has made two (2) SIGNIFICANT changes that will affect Membership Registration and Age Verification. It is important that all coaches and parents of unattached athletes are aware of and understand these new changes to avoid any eligibility or participation conflicts with their athletes. Below is a brief outline of those changes and what your next steps are.
USATF CONNECT
USATF has updated it Membership Management System. The new system USATF Connect is currently in place and will be the primary portal for managing ALL memberships. This includes both individual and club/team memberships. Your first step will be to create your new USATF Connect account. This can be done by using your USATF Membership number and your legacy (previous system) password. Tutorials on how to create an account and more can be found at the following link. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the new system.
USATF Connect – Membership Management System Tutorials
NEW AGE VERIFICATION PROCESS
The Pacific Association office will NO LONGER PROCESS AGE VERIFICATIONS VIA EMAIL. ALL new or non-verified memberships will need to submit verification documents through USATF CONNECT WEBSITE, the NEW Membership Management System, for verification. Any members who verified their age on the old system will NOT need to re-verify on the new system. This change will be critical for all athletes wishing to participate in a USATF Championship event.
► OFF John Murray and Jim Hume to be inducted into the Nat’l Officials Hall of Fame
Join us in congratulating John Murray, and Jim Hume (posthumously) into the National Officials Hall of Fame!
The induction would normally take place during the Officials Banquet at the Annual Meeting, though we are unsure as yet if the annual meeting will be in-person or virtual. Determination to be made late September.
