USATF Pacific has a long history of hosting open track and field competitions at all levels, from local all comers meets to international. There is a USATF Pacific annual championship meet and an annual Grand Prix with prize money for the top performers. Use the links at the right to learn more.
2024 Open Track & Field Grand Prix
Grand Prix Sign Up, Events and Prize Money Info
Double points will be awarded to valid USATF Pacific members (who must have signed up for this Grand Prix) in their highest scored event at the PA Open Track & Field Championship to be held in conjunction with the 64th Annual Golden West Invitational on the weekend of June 1 & 2. GWI Registration is Open!
2024 USATF Pacific Masters Track & Field GRAND PRIX
Here is your chance to compete against your gender & 5-year age division peers in a series of local track & field meets. This Grand Prix allows all adult athletes, ages 19 to 99, to participate! It’s a great way to train for the 2024 National USATF Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships coming to Sacramento July 18-21.

USATF Pacific thrower Elena Bruckner scored the most points in the 2023 USATF Pacific Open Track & Field Grand Prix.
ClICK HERE to watch a Runnerspace.com video interview with her following her 3rd place performance at the USATF National Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This qualified her to represent TEAM USA at the 2023 World IAAF Championships in Budapest, where she placed 15th in the qualifying round.

► PA Dave Shrock receives USATF’s President’s Award.
Dr. Dave Shrock was one of eight recipients of the USATF President’s Award at the 2018 Annual USATF Convention. He is the current Chair of the Associations Executive Committee, has coached for more than 20 years, chairs the USATF Pacific’s Coaching Committee, and is the recent past President of the USATF Pacific Association. At the 2016 USATF Annual Meeting, he was awarded the Kevin McGill Legacy Coach Award. Because of date change of PA XC some runners may want to transfer from one runner to another. Race day only— Go to Pre-reg, give the worker the name of person who is being replaced. Worker will find race bib for person being replaced, they will invalidate that race bib, putting an “x” over it and setting it aside so no one uses that bib number! They will then give the new runner a new reg form, which the new runner will fill out and hand in, they will get a brand new bib number which has only their data associated with it. Unfortunately, the Clarksburg Half Marathon will not be scored for the 2018 Road Grand Prix, neither individually nor team. However, Clarksburg is still awarding the individual and team prize money. Because of the last-minute, unexpected schedule change to a holiday weekend for the PA XC Champs race, some individuals may not be able to run it. Therefore, for this year, the individual Grand Prix scoring will be modified to score the top 6 races, rather than the top 5 + the Champs race. Team scoring will be kept as top 5 + Champs.
