What a day it was! Following the first two races, due to the water-logged soil from the recent and race day rains, an entire tree fell across the start line, narrowly and fortunately missing runners and spectators in that area. As a result the races were moved to the Polo Fields track, and thanks to the skills and cooperation of all involved, went off as smoothly as could have possibly been expected. First USATF Pacific Open Men’s finisher: Phil Reid (16th in 27:34) of the Hoka Aggies Running Club. He led his Open Men’s team to a 3rd place overall finish.

First USATF Pacific Open Women’s finisher was Kaylyn Knapp (22nd in 18:42) of the Peninsula Distance Club. She led her Open Women’s team to a 6th place overall finish.
