Ready, Get Set, Go!
The Pacific United Sectional got off to a Windy Start as action kicked off on Saturday March 14, 2009. However; A 3.1mph winds didn’t seem to slow anyone down as youth ages 7 – 18 competed running, jumping and throwing their way into another season of Track and Field. The weekend saw some good times to open the season and saw plenty of impressive efforts by a host of newcomers in the Sub-Bantam Divisions.
With everyone there in full stride, EPA Greyhounds, Hilltop Speed, 3MTC, Roseville Express, Flying Jaguars and a host of other Teams all brought their favorites for a day of competition and excitement. The obvious familiar faces in the crowd were a kind reminder that the 2009 USA Track and Field Season is officially underway!
David Lawrence and staff did a wonderful Job with their first Track Meet. Despite the weather conditions the season seemed to get off to a rollin start. With a Full Calendar, the Pacific Association has its hopes high this season and as host to the 2010 Junior Olympics things are looking up already and coming off an outstanding season which saw a lot of Nationally ranked excitement. This year should be no different for the Pacific Association as its athletes sharpen up their spikes in anticipation of another exciting season.
A special … Thanks to David Lawrence and the Pacific United Track club.
